As a general guide, our sizing corresponds to:

Size 0 = S
Size 1 = S/M
Size 2 = L

How to wash and store

Natural fabrics need a bit of care.
In general, we recommend hand-washing in cold water or a gentle machine wash at 30°C, using mild detergents. Pieces with hand embroidery should be turned inside out before washing to protect the embroidery.

The Package You Receive

We gave up plastic back in 2019 — FrancescaBi garments now arrive in vibrant printed cotton bags that can be reused for storing linens or packing for a trip.

When they're in good condition, we also give our shipping boxes a second life.

Each piece comes with a tag describing its qualities, along with a small charm made from recycled cotton.

Every Piece Is Special

Every piece is born in India, in the workshops I've worked with since the 1990s, and is hand-embroidered one stitch at a time. I started seeking out those artisans back when this kind of craftsmanship had already become nearly impossible to find in Italy.

This isn't the kind of Indian product you'd find at a street stall. In the workshops I work with, no children are employed, shifts are respected, and workers are paid for their holidays and their wages. These are real costs, and they're built into the price you see.

I design two collections a year, in limited quantities. And when you message me on Instagram, it's really me on the other end.

You won't find the same one in anyone else's closet

My own designs, hand-embroidered one by one. Quantities are small: once a product is gone, it's gone.

Wearable nearly year-round

This isn't the heavy coat you dig out for three weeks a year. It's a transitional-season piece, and these days, the in-between seasons last a lot longer.
